Title: Door locking issue - hot weather
Post by: richtung on May 03, 2020, 03:49:34 pm
Hi guys,

I’ve had an issue in the Ed30 for a couple of years now.
During the hot weather, when I go over 10mph the anti hijack kicks in and locks the doors. However the central locking repeatedly locks/unlocks itself. As it’s just usually me in the car, it’s the drivers door that locks/unlocks (hope this makes sense)
This only happens during hot weather. It’s fine during cooler weather.
I’m guessing the drivers door lock module needs replacing?
I don’t have VCDS to do a scan but wanted to see if others had experienced this?

Thanks

Rich

I had this happen last year and then it started again this year. I’d already replaced the modules about 4-5 years ago. I ran VCDS and it said there was an issue with the microswitch in the ignition barrel. I was hoping to get it sorted next time I went down to AKS.
