Title: Is it really this much to replace bushes??
Post by: mstirlz05 on May 14, 2020, 01:29:07 pm
So just had my quote from a reputable motorsport garage regarding front and rear powerflex bushes and alignment. I know the Bush kit is around £100. They've quoted me 520 for parts, fitting and alignment. That sounds very overpriced to me or is that about right?
Bear in mind this was the same garage who charged 450 to only fit shocks and springs.

There’s quite a lot of work to do rear bushes and the alignment will cost @100. £320 labour seems fair imo though if you want to get the cost down then just do the front.

If the powerflex bushes are £100 I imagine the OP maybe means only the front and rear wishbones bushes?

OP, how many bushes are in the kit?

Reading between the lines -
£100 will not cover a complete set of bushes for front and rear axles - that sounds more like just front and rear bushes on the front control arms.

If it is just front control arms that price is a complete rip off, it seems they are hoping you are financing their motorsport operation
