Title: Changed battery now everything on passenger side doesn't work
Post by: crashdesk on May 22, 2020, 07:42:21 pm
Hi,

I changed the battery yesterday. After changing there were a bunch of lights on the dashboard; Drove for a bit and everything is grand. Only major issue is, everything on passenger side of car doesn't work. Includes...

Indicators
Windows
Doors not locking

Anywhere I go I have to park tight against a wall lol

Anyone have this happen or know what it may be before I go to a mechanic/electrics specialist?

Thanks
CD

Pull the battery negative lead again, but leave it disconnected for at least 30 mins, preferably an hour +.  Sounds bizarre I know, but I had exactly the same issue on mine and that solved it.

Or if you're feeling brave, you can pull the battery negative and positive leads and touch them together.  This will dump any capacitive charge and completely reset everything.

Cheers mate. Will try the first option tomorrow. Think I’ll leave the latter ;-)
