Title: Pattern parts - pre painted

Hi guys,

Has anyone used Lothian Autoparts UK who are on eBay and supply pure painted parts (wings, bonnets)?
At £210 for a new painted bonnet it seems very good value but my old man has always haunted me with the ‘buy cheap, buy twice son’ motto!
Anyone used them and can vouch for their quality? I’ve asked the question and they’re pattern bonnet but they’ve said the fit is good (hardly likely to say its gash tho are they!)

Any experience or thoughts welcome

I’d be inclined to buy a used bonnet from a car being broken for spares.

I'd agree with the above.  Even if the fit is perfect the colour match wont be with new paint.  I've also read stories of ebay panels going rusty very fast.

I've just bought two, genuine, rust free wings from ebay totalling about £150.  Getting fitted tomorrow, cant wait.

Cheers guys for the fast response.
Only issue with my pretty much un marked bonnet is it’s grey but not United grey. UG seems to have a blue tone, my bonnet has a slight silver even brown (sounds bizarre but it does) tone.
Local bodyshop it is then 👍🏻

Just fitted one from Lothian, perfect fit and excellent colour match, better than one I purchased from ebay years ago.
