Hi all new here so sorry if I am not posting in the correct place. Ok so recently brought a 2007 plate golf gt tdi. I was aware it would need some work doing so hence the price we paid. I now know the parts it needs as had the car looked at by a local garage but I would like to try and source some of them from ebay but not entirely sure if I am ordering the right parts. The garage said I need the intake duct between the MAF and turbocharger and boost pipe intake side of inter cooler. Theres a few other parts I need but happy with what I am ordering with those. Would anybody be able to give me a bit help in making sure I order the right intake hoses? The garage are charging a lot if money for these so woukd like to source them from ebay if I can. Many thanks

Hi there,
If it was me I would take a photo in the engine bay of the hose then try and match it on ebay using search like maf intake hose. Failing that I would phone VW with the engine number and describe the hose, get a part number then search if you felt it was too expensive. Here is one I found which may be the hose you are looking for but I’m guessing
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-0TDI-170BHP-ENGINE-TURBO-AIR-INTAKE-PIPE-MAF-HOSE-3C0129654P/283748511818?hash=item4210bab04a:g:m5oAAOSwKyxeIy~j
Hope that’s of some help. It doesn’t have to be a gt tdi especially just the engine number as it is probably in a number of VAG cars

Hi thanks for the reply I am not sure I would be 100% sure which hose they were referring to even if I took a picture. They have quoted me £850 to do the intake duct the boost pipe new oil sump new rear spring new outer cv joint and new outer cv boot. I know it's probably a fair bit of work but seems like quite a lot of money.
