Can anyone confirm if the mk5 gti has a rear fog light within the cluster?
If so so could anyone upload a pic showing the rear fog light?
Someone is selling a jap import 60k gti dsg but doesn't have the rear fog light, is it easy to retro fit the rear fog?
Is it a mot legal requirement?

Jap imports don't have them, my RX7 was a Jap import and didn't have one and they are required for the MOT. I believe the switch needs to indicate when it's on as well via light.

Can anyone advise whats involved to get the fog on the rear tail light?

Remove sound deadening or just peel it back 4 nuts hold the complete cluster on the bulb holder unclips 21watt single filament bulb

Great, i was thinking a new switch, wiring and coding would be involved!?
Is it just as simple as putting in a bulb in the rear cluster?
Thanks

There are no rear fogs on any cars here in the US. When I installed it, the rear fog came with the new switch, one added wire, and needed to be re-coded with vcds. The icon in the cluster was already there and illuminated once the install was complete and the rear fog was enabled within the coding. So, even though the US version doesn't have it, the light is standard within the cluster.
