After a new and spotted ebay do one on its own. Says you can pop it on without dropping the headlining?. Anyone bought one?
-
You don't have to remove the headlining to remove the aerial, just pull down the plastic trim piece at the top of the rear hatch, it is just held on by clips, and there is enough room to undo the nut and remove, there is a gap between the headlining and roof.

Smashing thanks. Anyone used just the rubber from ebay?
Will price up the base through tps tomo
-
Is this the type that stretches over the aerial base?
For genuine seal you need to take the whole base and cable tails off the car to then install the seal, the cable has connectors tucked into the steel panels, if you are not familiar with them they are hard to disconnect - quite the faff
If I had to do this again I would be looking at the stretch type.
-
Yeah the one over the base
-
There are 2 types of base seal depending on year, just to add to the fun. If your car is strange 2006/07 change over year model, it won’t state which one you need on ETKA.
Agreed with LC5F. It is indeed a faff. I just removed the aerial nut and it had just enough room to lift it off the roof to slide the new seal over the base.

Mines a 57 plate.
Have ordered one on ebay so will let you know
-
Mine is an 07 but has a lot of 06 parts on it, which causes a lot of head scratching at the dealer sometimes. It’s probably an 06 car but wasn’t registered until 07.

Time will tell ha ha
-
i could do with replacing mine too, its a bit perished and rather unsightly.
-
Will let you know mate.
-
Yeah seems to work well. Bit of heat to help it squeeze on.
Not a 100% fit but more than happy

Thanks for the update mate, i meet go this route too.
-
I've left the part in a cup of hot water for a few mins so it's super flexible.
-
I did similar mate
-
that's a good idea (brings me back to the CV boots and cone days)

Mines a 56 and slipped straight over the aerial and stretched over the base, looks factory and no leaks
