Title: RNS 510 Upgrade trouble - no dashboard info displayed anymore

Hello everyone,

Recently I upgraded my RNS 510 unit maps to 2020v using this solution: https://paulroberts69.wordpress.com/2015/10/01/upgrading-firmware-and-maps-on-vw-rns-510-satnav/
Unfortunately, my display changed from Premium Line down to High Line. I could live with that, but the change is deeper than I thought.
Before the upgrade, my radio was able to display navigation info and radio info on the screen between dials on my dashboard. It's not there anymore.
I checked my radio type and version:
1T0 035 686 C
HW: H09
SW: 5238
This was in line with what the setup info said.
I tried to upgrade my firmware with success to v5274, but that didn't help.

Please help me with restoring full functionality of my radio unit.

Hi,

I'm trying to do the same thing, how did you open the archive files? It's asking for a password and I can't see it anywhere.
