that sounds a bit confusing so you turned it off to launch, everything worked ok, but the light stays flashing now when you try it again.

^^^^

Did you switch off the ignition to rest the ESP system? - Try doing so, if not.

Also, the ESP is never truly "off" - it allows more slip but if you're hooning around like a crazyman it'll still turn on and prevent bushage.

I've done quite a few LC's, but never had that fault. I'd get it down to the dealer and have them give it the once over :happy2:

As above

Went to the dealers they checked  a couple of other MY09 build cars and when you turn the ESP off the light now flash
VW must have changed it on 09 build cars .

was no fault just me thinking the light should stay on and not flash and it says in the handbook it should stay on and not flash.
The only thing now is if the launch control is working correctly  .When you do a start useing the launch control should the car
feel like it is trying to pull with your foot on the brake  or should the engine rev freely until you let off the brake
     to engage  clutch. mike

Mike it should rev up to 3K and I don't remember it pulling too hard on the brakes on mine 08MY ED30 DSG.

After reading your posts last night I tried LC on a 09 MY Eos 2.0TSI DSG i am driving at the moment (on which the TC light also flashes while switched off) and I couldn't get it to engage LC, it felt like you are describing and won't rev much above 2K
