....and what did you feel about them, please?
They are road legal and supposed to be a very good trackday tyre, so a practical compromise. Goodyear have had factory problems and there aren't any asymmetrics available until "sometime in April, at the earliest". So, supply is very unreliable and if I'm going to have to change all four tyres I might as well take the opportunity to consider another tyre.
R888's won't be quite so good in the wet and R1R's won't last as long as the Hankook RS2's, I'm told.
Any advice is, as always, appreciated :drinking:

my new scooby has hankooks all round will nip out to see what they are now :happy2:

^^^^
Thanks, buddy!
I also read the reviews you posted a link to and 4 out of 5 describe the RS2 as probably being the perfect tyre for me: Good for 'fast road' and much better than a road tyre for trackdays or Noodleburgering.

i have mentioned them a few times on the track tyre topics but never really had any feedback from anyone.
they seem to get excellent feedback - its the softest rating before you get into the R's apparently - so good grip but lasts longer
i was looking at getting a set - french site which deliver to the uk - called http://www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk/
they had them up until a few weeks ago in stock in 225/40/18 for £106 a corner (half the price of r1r's)
camskill is always expecting delivery... might be worth trying vwr as they use hankook I believe so might have a good supply
I also believe they have a new tyre out called the RS3 so might be why everyone is out of stock and waiting for the new range.

oops just noticed camskill finally now have stock - do apologise :happy2:
£124 a corner - so not quite as cheap as pneus - but still reasonable

My hankooks are going on tomorrow finally so i'll report back! Mine are treadware 50  Not expecting them to last too long :signLOL:

rs2?
They must be supersoft compared to my R1R's and I can plant 300ponies in first through them wheelspin free, so these hankooks should be mega awesome!

Mine are Ventus RSS Z211... hoping they help get the power down as i'm struggling at the minute! They're going on my PR1.2's to so hopefully will notice a big difference all round

I considered these for my new 18's as well but have gone for the PS3's as I they are meant to be better in the wet than the PS2's :happy2:

....Yes, I've heard that the PS3's are excellent but more as a road tyre. I guess I fancy trying something which is slightly more trackday orientated, having more side stiffness (apparently). There's going to be a degree of compromise either way.
:happy2:

 where do people find the treadwear number on tyres?

It says it on the outer edge on mine... Just had a little drive with mine fitted, feels awesome, obviously they need to scrub in but they are worls apart from the vreds
