Post by: edd666999 on March 14, 2010, 05:23:41 pm
Has anyone had their rear wiper come on nearly every time they start their car up?

Its getting on my nerves now as today it started wiping and didnt stop! i have to stop the car take the key out and start it back up again just so it would stop wiping my rear window!!

i know im going to have to take it in but just wondering if anyone has heard of this happening before? my car is a dsg if that makes a difference

IIRC this was (is) a common problem on earlier GTI's.  The fix is a new wiper motor ...

Had this happen on mine.  As stated above, the wiper motor was replaced.
