Title: Springs or Coilovers for my Edition 30?
Post by: Edition_30_P on March 17, 2010, 11:22:45 pm
What would be better suited for my Edition 30 ass I live in London, The Home of Speed Bumps and Pot Holes. I was looking at either Eibach Springs or AP Coilovers....

Any assistance here guys?

Cheers

I started with H&R lowering springs, 100% excellent ride, then bought a set of KW V3 coilovers, and i would say unless you track the car just get springs :happy2:

Having had Eibach springs and now AP Coilovers I'd say the ride was marginally better on the AP's  :happy2:

i live in central london and had coilovers on for a over a year and running them pretty low - it is doable but I dont really drive too much around town I normally head out of London on the weekends

some roads i just cant go down though and this depends on the borough - in angel for instance the speed bumps are like mountains and it would not be possible for me to drive around - luckily in wandsworth where i am they are not too bad but I have come across a few roads where it is just painful as even crawling over them you still get the odd scrape.

they are adjustable so if i did have to drive more in town then I would probably raise them

Does going for springs lead to premature failure of any components? Would it be better to go for coilies?
