Title: Removing Clocks
Post by: GPem3:16 on September 27, 2020, 12:36:18 pm
Hi all, can anyone advise here.
If I remove mu clocks to look at the number on the back, can I simply re connect with no issues?

Thanks in advance

Yeah. Just drop the steering wheel down on the adjuster... pull the middle trim off above the steering wheel (with the crappy bit of PU leather attached to it) it may break the lugs off but it sits back fine. Undo the 2 screws, then just pull the cluster/clocks towards you...

It plugs back in as you push it back into place. You shouldn't get any errors after this process.

Good luck

@stupot5 I don't suppose you know the best clocks to buy regarding serial number?
I understand I need someone to code them, but I'm confused regarding the different serial numbers etc

I'm sorry I don't, as I went straight from "red dot" highline clocks to Tiguan 3D Premium clocks. There are a few threads on here that may help you though, this one will probably the best https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=91363.0

Cheers
