Title: Key Fob Synchronising
Post by: pazz on March 18, 2010, 10:01:42 pm
Oh joy, my first issue already after my warranty expired all of 2 weeks ago.

My main key fob appears to not to be working, however the LED light is flashing when buttons are pressed which means its safe to say battery is okay.

I've looked in the handbook and seen there are instructions on synchronising a key fob. Supposedly if you press the unlock key repeatedly when the key fob is not within range of the car it will un-sync the fob. I had my remote in my football bag tonight and I can only assume it has un-sync'ed.

The VW handbooks asks that you:

1) Press the unlock button in the radio wave remote control key.

2) Insert the key into the lock within one minute and unlock the vehicle.

3) Switch on the ignition

I've done this 4-5 times and hasnt worked, any ideas?
