Title: lack of powweeeerrrrrr!!!

my car has lost most of its power above 3k revs under acceleration. My first though was that it is leaking boost somwhere, i.e the diverter valve as i assume the dv is the origional (55 plate gti) and it seems a common fault that they break. Im going to borrow my cousins vag com. Does a broken dv throw a specifc fault code?

You would need to do some logs of requested/actual boost and N75 to get a good idea.
