yes that will do but it would be easier/better if you got one with a ratchet.

I think for a one-off application you won't want to be paying £30+ for the pliers...
-
Yeah the remote one looks good but don't want to spend £30 for a one off. Besides with the rain I can't do it today. :sad1:
-
I got a pair of pliers from ebay that were of the ratchet type. Not great quality but did the trick. However, if the hose clips are quite accessible, I found a pait of long-nosed mole grips easier to work with. Again sourced from ebay.
-
Ive got a set you can borrow if you want to save yourself from buying some.
-
Thanks for the offer Ben I borrowed some from a mate who owns his own garage, (the remote type only took about 5 mins, would be really fiddly without).
-
i bought a set that had a flexible extension, so dead easy to get behind the turbo etc
much better that the pliers, i found the pliers to be awkward at times when trying to get access to the clips

Them are the ones I used (so technicallly not pliers). I would have bought a set but not worth spending £30 on a one time app, as I will refit with a jubilee clip when reverting to stock.
-
Whats it sound like then? You notice much of an improvment?
-
Nice a bit more throaty than standard but not like an open cone filter, got better throttle responce and a better top end as well.
