Afternoon all,
I may be covering old ground, if so I apologise. Found this on www.my-gti.com which I thought was worth sharing. (steve, sorry, please don't ban me for advertising another forum)
http://www.my-gti.com/204/volkswagen-golf-auto-rain-closing-windows-and-sunroof
Apparently undocumented and possible if you have the rain sensor fitted to your car. This function, operable once the car is locked closes the windows and/ or sunroof if it detects rain. Got some advice and would presume that the wiper stalk must be left in postion 1 (intermittent/ auto wiping mode) before leaving the car. Not got Vag com/ VCDS so if it works or has worked, let me know as I'm looking to do it to my edition 30.
listing shows useful step by step instructions.

Just bumping this post, I tried to get this working last night without any success. Has anyone managed to get it working?

The part I couldn't seem to work was under step 2. I changed the long coding on byte 09 to 02 expecting the Rain closing option to appear but it didn't... or do I not need to do this part as I only have a midline computer? Either way I can't see the rain closing option anywhere on the comfort system controller.
