Going to stage II+ on my K03 car, (i think) and every bit of advice is steering me away from Bluefin / SC, which is a shame as only £50 for additional maps, but if they don't deliver the goods what's the point. Anyway, the overwhelming advice is Revo, again good recommendations on someone to fit, sensible driving distance from Gloucestershire? I am leaning towards going to Revo HQ in daventry as places such as JKM (portsmouth) or Awesome (Manchester) or AMD (essex) are just too far, but really want someone who is a serious expert and very experienced.
Plus any good deals on Revo? as £600 seems steep when i only just bought bluefin 2 / 3 weeks ago for £400 (didn't realise it was no good for upgrading to stage 2+) most expensive mistake made on the car.

-
Have you considered APR?
Badger bill is a top bloke, he has a crazy ibiza cupra with over 600hp
-
Haven't considered APR should I? Does Badger have a rolling road, ideally I would like before and after plots, no point in getting a bullsh*t remap, can get that with SC stage 2 ;-)
-
Some argue that APR make the best map for the k03, I think badger bill has just got a RR, or is still waiting on his RR, am not 100% sure.

Don't think the rolling road is in yet

Help, now looking at APR, so confused.
I have a 3" TBE (miltek), ITG coming next week, Autotech HPFP coming next week, stage 1 SC bluefin fitted, what should I do to get reliable 275+ HP and ~ 400Nm of torque's ~ 300lbft with the flatest, longest torrque curve possible.
Maybe talk to JKM even though they are miles and miles away as they are agents for bluefin, APR and Revo and have a RR?
Help..........

If you have lots of extra bolt ons then, IMO, revo with their sps plus switch would be the sensible way forward because of the fine tweaking the switch gives.
-
If you're going revo then save yourself a lot of notes and get a second hand sps plus switch from here asap http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,12952.0.html

No doubt that revo is a great remap although ive heard that on some cars running stage 2 + software have flat spots in the midrange, this only happens with some cars and revo dont know Why ? aparantly Star performance have had a couple of people come in to them who previously have had REVO and wanted the map changed to giac.
Have you considderd GIAC mate ? Its cheaper too, im thinking about it now.

And a crazy Polo :driver:

I dont beleive the flat spot issue is limited to revo, the incidence rate is simply higher with revo because more people use them.

Its not just revo, but I cant find any GIAC or APR cars with the flat spot though. Also spoke to one tuner about the flat spot, and they pretty much said that its the norm for stage 2 plus revo cars. It seems to affect k04 cars more so than k03.
Im still working on getting my flat spot sorted though. Ive got two things im gonna try shortly.

ye a modified fuel return or sensor, maybe both if they are not the same mod. Just waiting on confirmation. If this does fix the flat spot, I will be pissed as people have known about this mod for ages
