I think i'm right in saying the 1st and 3rd are similar to the carbonio in that you keep the engine cover and replace the flimsy plastic oem intake.. the bsh is the only real intake which ditches the engine cover in favour of 1 big pipe to the turbo... it's 150 delivered from dubtek too

If your wanting more noise then dont go for an enclosed one such as twintake etc as they are quieter than an open filter i believe. :happy2:

I've just fitted the BSH... its great for the money, i'm not into logging airflow etc it baffles me but what i've read largely on American sights it outflowsmany others and is similar in performance to evoms etc! It's not noisy though at all, you can just hear the air being sucked in, it sounds like a plane is flying over lol

I'm now considering one of these intakes as its not as costly as some of the others out there and splitting my upgrade cash between bike and car means this looks more attractive.

Anyone on here running this on a K03 GTi?

....The Twintake is quieter than the ITG but, believe me, it's not quiet! Though I can hear more than most because I have aftermarket engine mounts which help transfer engine bay sounds  :jumpmove: :pomppomp: :star:

....

When it comes to choosing ANY product between BSH and Forge, it's a no-brainer every time for me..

That's easy to say but the twintake is £350, the BSH is £150, my car runs excellent with the BSH without any issues whatsoever and i'm making no less power than others even though I have few mods in comparison... hows the cost justifed  :rolleye:

Best price ive found the BSH is on the bay at £189.99, other traders seem to be around the £199 mark unless there is a discount to be had that i dont know about of course ;)

Give Dubtek a shout on here I'm sure he can beat £189.99

....Some people have had issues with the BSH intake but none with the Forge Twintake so far. I don't have any difficulty whatsoever in justifying the cost of the Twintake over the BSH, but let's not start a debate.

yet to hear of an issue with a bshintake myself.  could have been isolated occurances.

@ RR  are you on commission from  forge

I'd go as far as to say the twintake is probably/definately a better intake than the BSH with bigger gains, but it isnt £200 better.  And if someone isn't after maximum gains and is on a budget, there is nothing on the market that will compete with the BSH.

....No, I'm not on commission - I'm simply enthusiastic about most of Forge's products. Hmm, they did gift me a baseball cap though - But so have about a dozen other motorsport companies.

I appreciate that budgets are more of a consideration among many of you here. My linked Twintake review lists ALL the considerations which different people have when buying an aftermarket intake.
