Hey troops, my name is Jamie.
Just put a deposit down, on a Golf GTI should be picking it up next week sometime, I have always joined owners clubs as they are always good to get info and help on ur cars.
I have just traded in my Focus ST, (not sure if I will regret it or not, as it was a wicked car and couldnt fault it in anyway)
dont know if any1 else has made the same move, if so let me know what ur thoughts are.
Well just wanted to intoduce myself, and I am sure I will be picking ur brains in the not so distant future.
will 1st of ask whats the sensible and most worth while mods are. Not looking to spend great amounts as u never get it back at the other end. just little things that will make the GTI more pleasurable to drive everyday, and maybe a stand out a little parked next to another GTI.
Hope to hear from you guys soon.

probably, will need to get use to the DSG gearbox, just about put us through the window on the test drive, just that used to pushing a clutch and changing gear, lol.

Still waiting on this GTI, its killing me, everywhere I look there seem to be GTI's laughing at me, lol.
its ready to be picked up, just needing the dvla to get the finger out and send me the documents for my private reg getting taken off the ST.
sure hope the golf is quicker than the DVLA.
mind you, you cant complain, get to spend more time with the Focus, but the longer I have it, the harder its gonne be to see it go, hopefully the GTI takes my mind away from it.
Will get a cpl pics of her up when I get her hopefully middle of the week.

Finally got the GTI after a 2week wait, only took one pic as I wasnt wanting to be standing around taken pics, when i had a new toy to play with.
1st impressions are pretty good, DSG gearbox I think will take a bit of getting used to but I am sure I will get there.
was a bit p!ssed off as i noticed the garage had takin the Conti tyres that where on it and replaced them with cheap fulrun tyres. couldnt be bothered chinning them about it as I have waited long enough, they will do just now i suppose but will defo be getting some decent rubber on as soon as the funds get a bit healthier aswell as windows getting tinted.
Can some one give me there oppinion on weather you think its been lowered or not, looks kinda low at the front, if it is just standard springs that are on.

It does look lower at the front than standard.
It could be a number of things.
1. lowering springs.
2. tired shocks and springs.
3. R 32 engine transplant.
