Title: MFSW buttons not working
Post by: Umrix on December 11, 2020, 04:42:24 pm
Hello everybody,
Hopefully I can get some help from you guys,
This is my first post here,
Just got my first car, first GTI, DSG

Today I installed steering wheel buttons,
They're lighting up, but not functional..
As I read in this forum they should work without needing to change the module or whatever,
It's a dsg, with shifters behind the wheel

I tried setting them up in the aftermarket headunit, but still nothing
Could it be something related to the headunit?
I don't know what brand it is, or it is canbus or not..

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks!

You're probably need to get them coded using vag-com. The steering wheel control module needs to know that they are fitted before they'll work.

Mine were plug & play - like others reported, they just worked straight away - despite working they did generate a few fault codes.

Hi, don't suppose you have a part no. for the buttons?
