-

1K08539899B9
1K08539909B9
Cost £20 from your VW Dealer.

Im sure VW had a price hike on exterior parts, does anyone know how much these cost now?
-
Are they difficult to fit or is it just pop the originals out and put the new ones in? Anybody have a picture of them fitted?
-
Anyone have pictures of these on a black GTi? Thanks.

Takes 10 seconds! Uncrew the old ones (1 screw), and then slide the new ones into place and do the screw again!

does anyone know if its possible to get the honeycomb grills but where they are completely cut out. I have seen the old type which has a section removed but im looking for a grill with all the honeycombs cut out
-
You have to custom make them and tbh they look pretty rubish because you can see the bumper behind them.

As already said they are very easy to fit. If you check out my build thread you'll see how they looked when i had them on my car. I had a bit of colour coding done on them to give a slightly different look. I'll post a pic when i get home as i'm using my phone just now.
-
Thanks :happy2:
-
As promised a pic of my cr when I had the r-lines on

....Not only they look bad for the reasons Jaywoo says, but they become very weak structurally as a result.
Here's another alternative but very expensive:

They're by OSIR via TTshop Bedford. I believe they offer a plastic version but haven't seen any except on GTI's in the U S of A.
