Ahh, you've gotta love those crazy detailing guys.
Here's mine from when it belonged to the previous owner, I actually bought it on the strength of this thread without ever seeing it.

LOL - You should have seen it when I picked it up in July, I kid you not when I say it was better than a new car - completely unmarked... *hanging my head in shame* it's as black as coal at the minute :ashamed:
I dropped very lucky!
-
glad you snapped it up then mate, if you want it looking better than new again, give me a shout! ;)
-
Yeah, and the fact I got it for a fricking steal helped too!
It's actually really easy to clean, helped by the fact I lace it in Zaino sealant. It just needs a good deep clean under the arches and the other usual post-winter muck shifting that'll come once the weather perks up.
I didn't know you were hard-core detailing now? Tabs usually sorts me out with his PC and deft hands whilst I float around making brews and getting in the way, but I'll keep it in mind. Thanks.
-
ah ye, tabs has been pretty handy with a PC so i see. yes mate, ive been into detailing for nearly 5 years now. ive got a unit etc, with a million and one lights in! having a container delivered on friday for it and then need to paint the floor and im nearly done! oh need a sink too! lol
-
Oh, so very serious then!
Are you going to be doing any repairs like stonechips, as I have a couple that will need removing before Ultimate Dubs?

that guy baught my old springs. are they still on the car now?
-
i can do stone chip repairs no problem, but probably dont want to advertise the fact.
I do repairs on my own cars and family, but i like to used 4-5 coats and flat back each coat.
it gives an almost seemless finish, but you have to wait a day between coats.
im a bit of a perfectionist, and from a commercial point of view, that doesnt help me out at all

Nah, it's rolling on Eibach coilovers which are nice, but I want some adjustables.

No, it's a lot of time and effort for little gain, plus you've got a car getting in your way for a week whilst trying to work on other stuff.
Given the fact it's only going to get more, even though I have a bra, I'll just have them tarted up and keep doing so until it comes to sell - then I'll sort them properly.
-
yep true.
the car in the way isnt really a problem, the unit is massive, i could get about 10 cars in!
stone chips are such a bitch, but there has to be a point where you cant get too pissed off with them, they will always happen!
-
JPC how much do you charge for a full detail, not a clean cos I do detail myself but just not very confident with my rotory so would prefer a pro to have a go?
Where abouts are you?
Thanks
Darren
