Title: Basic flap settings with OBD eleven
Post by: Wastedspark on December 25, 2020, 09:27:45 pm
Merry Christmas everyone hope your all well,

So I’ve been having a couple of issues with the GTI lately, sluggish cold start and I feel a lack of torque mid range,
This all started after I cleaned the intake valves in the summer,
This morning before for the turkey I did a quick code scan and I wasn’t surprised to see the 2 runner flap codes, so I have searched for answers and commonly see that I should do a basic settings but I can’t find anything explaining if I can do this with OBD eleven pro,

So is it possible?

There is a chance that I haven’t plugged the motor in after taking the manifold off.😂

Thanks Martin

This page describes basic settings, if obd eleven is pro version it should allow the settings

Hi, thanks for that, I did come across that page during my search, I’ll give it a go, if anyone has done it with the OBD eleven and could talk me through it I’d appreciate the help,

Start OBDEleven with ignition turned on and engine off
Go to control modules
Select engine
Select basic settings
type in 142 for group
press and hold the tick to run ADP
once it says ADP ok, you are finished
If ADP does not work then your flaps or flap motor need replacing

FJB thank you,

I found an easier way, just plug in the motor! Yes this idiot left it unplugged for 6 months! Only really noticed when it got cold,

At least I know how to reset it for next time,

Thanks Martin
