Title: Help with gearbox

Hi all,

The transmission bolt snapped and I have a crack on the gearbox casing so am trying to source one. I will consider a refurbed one if possible.

The gearbox code is KQD - forgive my ignorance but is there another varient that will fit as I did find a GVT refurb? It's for a 2008 mk5 GTI engine BWA

Apologies for sounding like I need my hand holding but I kinda do lol; any advice on where to source one as I just can't tell on ebay what to really look for apart from a decent warranty and feedback etc.

Is it a manual car or DSG ? If its manual then another 6 speed 02Q box will fit. If its DSG then its a bit more tricky.

Mines a 2006 BWA and has the GVT code gearbox .
