Title: PCV valve change
Post by: Jons1001 on March 16, 2021, 11:15:55 am
Hi all, does anyone know if you have to change the rubber seal/gasket when fitting a new PCV? VW wanted about £25 for it so I just bought the valve itself but now wondering if I should have bought it aswell. Thanks

Id say its best to replace the gasket. Saves the hassle in removing it again if it doesn't seal fully.

They're held on with torx bolts T25 T30 something like that.

Cheers. When it see it done that quickly begs the question why did two VW specialists quote me £140 plus vat to supply and fit?! Also same for the diverter valve. One of them also told me they were giving a discount on labour as some of the same parts would be removed when fitting the pcv and diverter valve?
