Hi, I have installed an aftermarket head unit which is great, one issue I can’t resolve though is that whenever I put the car in reverse the unit switches to the (non-existent) rear camera. From what I’ve read the only way to stop this is to cut the cable in the wiring harness which sends power into the radio when you put the car in reverse.
Despite much looking no wiring diagram has helped me identify which wire is said one. Can anyone help me identify it please?

What's the headunit?

It’s an Android. On this one the wiring loom from the original RCD300 plugs straight into the back of the new radio, there is no extra CANBUS in-between.

Is anyone able to shed any light on this?

I am struggling to understand the issue.
What difference does it make if it switches to the camera while reversing?
If it is the sound dipping / muting while in reverse, there usually is a setting to change that, even if there isn't you are not going to spending a long time in reverse.

It’s a fair point it’s a minor niggle, would just like to sort it if possible. I changed the setting to stop the music muting so that’s sorted, would just like to remove the error screen when reversing to make it perfect :-)
