Title: Moving RNS 310 from one car to another
Post by: akbarirfan on April 03, 2021, 08:51:08 am
Hi All,

I was wondering if I needed a radio code, if I was to put my RNS 310 into another Mk5?

Can I extract the code using VCDS if so?

Thanks

Usually the radio code is written on the unit, or you may have a card in the owner manual.

Pretty sure it was retrofitted.

I guess I could take the dash apart to see if the code it written on there?

I was hoping I could extract it using VCDS.

I've just looked at the 310 removed from mine and it hasn't got it on the unit, but the 510 I fitted did. So I'm thinking maybe not.
