Post by: Rob1 on April 14, 2021, 10:51:09 pm
Hi just wondering if the previous owner is a member of the forum, as Ed30 has a mk5 forum sticker the side window

Difficult to tell without the registration. Seems quite dear for a low spec eddy IMO. Lovely car though and that mileage is mad low.

Bought my car if these guys, brilliant to deal with its Father & Son partnership and would recommend them. If interested in buying the car give them a call they’ll answer any questions you may have.

I want one off them stickers so bad, it’s definitely a shame it’s not a higher spec eddy I’d imagine if it was it would off sold by now as it’s been up for sale for a while.

What a fantastic example of a clean, unmolested Ed30

I think £10K is more realistic but if you want a hassle free example that clearly needs zero work, the extra 3 bigguns may be worth stumping up for the spanner shy types.

That is exactly the kind of special edition that will hold it's value. Looked after, left alone, not messed with, serviced on time, every time.

Ebay folk with 150K old Ed30s that have been modded to f'ck are deluded if they think their car is worth anywhere near that.

'£2,675 below market average' is a curious one though.

As an ED30 owner, I think they're over rated and not worth anything near what they seem to go for.  I don't get it.  Then again, personal opinion isn't what drives the market place.

£13k for a 13year old car. Wowzer. Might have been polish and looked after but the metal is still 13yrs old.

Haha, that's true!  13 year old steel is 13 year old steel however you cut it.

Whoever buys it needs to look at my "Re: Rust! Warning: contains images some viewers may find distressing." thread

I saw it! I'm scared to look at mine. I figured if I don't look, it's not there haha

Aye! Take the side skirts off, rub your chin and hmmmmm at the situation, stick the skirts back on.  Nothing to see here, moving swiftly on

It's only cosmetic though.  The core structure is strong as WW2 pill boxes and why they respond so well to chassis mods  :happy2:

Having said that, the front chassis leg spot welds can fail when tracking the car regularly with (mega) stiff suspension
