Title: Torque Settings/Values
Post by: mcgc0 on May 18, 2021, 07:45:37 pm
About to replace the fuel pump cam follower and would like to know the 6mm torx screw torque tightening values. Anyone know?

I've had a look through the forum workshop PDF links and can find the right pages for the fuel pump removal/refitting but not the reassembly torque setting for the set screws. Bit of a long shot but hopefully someone may know. Would be great to think there's a table somewhere that exists for all of the Golf's torque settings (as per factory build manual).

Cheers

Just ‘tight’ is enough. Don’t go swinging off it though  :signLOL:

ps. It’s 10nm

Ha, thanks Rich .

Aye, s/s set screws into alloy easily overtightened just by hand. Saw the 10Nm mentioned in the workshop PDF but wasn't clear if it applied to the fuel pipe banjo unions.

Goodies in from Coverdale so looking forward to fitting these over the weekend.  :happy2:
