Title: Steering wheel buttons

Hello,

My 07 mk5 doesn't have steering wheel buttons.
I wanted to buy a used wheel with buttons and fit it to my car.

Is that even possible and would it work? Not sure if the wiring is already there? Probably not.
If you have done this before please send me some tips or a YouTube video.

I believe you need to upgrade your steering wheel control module to one that supports buttons. You'll also need a new airbag harness. Is your Golf Manual or DSG? - a lot less to change if you have DSG

Ok tha m you, the picture are also useful. If I was to buy a whole new wheel with the airbag and everything. Would it be as simple as taking the old one off and connecting the new one? Or would I need to run wires. Thanks

As long as the replacement wheel has all the bits on it it's a simple swap.
