Title: Quick question about wheels
Post by: Peskarik on March 30, 2010, 05:22:12 pm
People, hello.

A friend is asking whether he can put 8.5x19 BBS with ET35 on his GTI. Is it possible? Will they poke a lot?

Thanks a bunch in advance!

Another question (since I haven't visited the forum for at least half a year now). Is Hurdy still around? Did he change turbo on his E30?

They will stick out, but more so at the front.  Personally with an 8.5 rim I would say ET 45 is the max at the front and ET40 for the back, unless the person is wanting a wide look with stretched tryes (not my cup of tea).  I'm sure others will have different opinions on this!

Is that related to Hurdy? What do you then mean?

Hi Peskarik,

Yes I'm still around and tinkering with the ED30.

I sold on the Garrett kit I bought off Jonnyc and decided to fine tune the K04. Running very well at the moment (see sig), added quite a few bits and pieces.

Bilstein B16's to replace the Eibach's
VF engine and transmission mounts
Neuspeed turbo discharge pipe
S3 rear brakes
Forge K04 actuator
RS4 valve
and a few other pieces
