Hi All - Have seen a few older posts about this, but couldn't seem to find a solution..
MK5 Gti 2005 - Changed all 4 discs & pads recently, bled and topped up the brake fluid.. But now have a Brake Pad warning light on.
Now as a caviat, let me tell you I can turn a spanner, but am not proficient.. I'm more of a youtube guide car DIY'er. :fighting2:
So, I understand the sensor is in the front nearside corner, all looks in tact, as does the wiring from the engine bay to the brake pad.. Is there something i've missed here, or an error made?
Help appreciated! (Before i get some black tape to cover up the light)

The wear sensor and loom are in a terrible environment and can easily get pulled by accident.
It could easily be a broken cable / connection going to the wear sensor breaking the circuit and triggering the light.
Try jumping the 2 connections to see if the light stays on - still on check under the rubber boot to see if there is damage.

Okay perfect, thank-you - Let me give this a go when there's some daylight/hours in the day, and i'll report back!
