Title: Old member returning with extra litres...
Post by: jayha11 on November 18, 2021, 02:17:02 pm
Hi guys, not sure if anyone remembers me but Ive been a member since 2015 when I had a black GTI which was then followed by an S3 8p. I kind of fell off the radar when I switched to leasing 2018 picking up a Leon Cupra 300. Fast forward a few more years and I took delivery of my second Leon Cupra 290 LUX, lovely car but just the small matter of a pandemic which pretty much rendered it an expensive driveway ornament.

I should have had this Cupra until March next year but with resale prices strong I opted to jump out of my agreement early under quite favourable terms. Permanently working from home has completely changed what I need from a car these days, not to mention the new M135i I had lined up as its successor costing in excess of £400 a month I thought it was a good time to scratch a long-standing itch!

I picked up a Mk5 R32 at the weekend

Car is completely standard, leather, high line clocks, MFSW, DSG and 113k on the clock with a full service history. A really clean example that drives great. I don't have any major plans for it except small OEM additions. I will set up a new thread to document my ownership and updates shortly.

Thanks for reading guys

How do you find it compared to the GTI?

How do you find it compared to the GTI?

It's a bit hard to compare directly as there has been 5 years and 3 cars between them. But what I will say of the R32, it really suits my needs from what I want from a car and it has far more sense of occasion than any car I have probably owned.
