Hi,
I was planning on swapping my daily driver GTI wheels from 17" Monza to 18" Monza soon... But I just failed the MOT on 2 tyres and havent got any 18s ready so had 2 new tyres fitted. Now Im thinking Ill tun the 17" Monza a bit and maybe go for 19" Speedlines. Will I regret it on a sensible / daily / family car? The car has just been fitted with Eibach sportline and Bilstein B8s but havent drove it yet so unsure how firm it will be.
Cheers

19s would be horrific on a car without DCC dampers! 18s are bad enough
17s are the sweet spot, and 16s are best for ride quality.

Pisser. OK so Ill stick with the 17s and maybe go 18" Monza later.
Cheers dude :happy2:

18's are my limit also with the family.

I replaced my 18's with 17" Monzas, so much nicer to drive as a daily.
Hated the 18's and they weigh so much too so can only hurt handling, fuel consumption and increase the wear on suspension components.
But they do look better with them on. I need to sell mine, which could do with a refurb too. If you're interested drop me a PM.
