Title: Creaking noise under car when braking and accelerating
Post by: Kierandewberry21 on February 03, 2022, 05:00:22 pm
Hi guys, I have a creaking/cracking/knocking noise coming from what sounds like under my feet sort of area, more often on passenger side but sometimes both. It happens under braking and then accelerating. I would say this was subframe knock but I had the beefier subframe bolts fitted and torqued a few months ago. Anyone else had any issue like this?
Thanks

Sounds like subframe - did you have anything else changed at the same time?

No nothing else just bolts

I would reach in from the side with a socket/spanner and check they are still tight.

Update:
Had it sorted with new bolts etc. It was the subframe, was fine for about 80-100 miles and now it’s back again

Glad your sorted - where did you source the failed bolts?

It’s not sorted lol I was for a couple of days I’ve now ordered an 034motorsports subframe deadset kit as I’ve been told that should sort my issue permanently
