Title: AXX vs BWA - How to tell?

I always assumed my 2008 Jap mk5 had the BWA engine, but was just looking through the book and amongst the Jap writing i can see the letters 'AXX'. Is there any easy way of telling?

Should tell you on the passenger door pillar. Unless it's had a new engine fitted I guess

Get the Google translate app on your phone- just from the screen photo that page has:
The customer name & address, go see if you can find it on street view
plus your car was manufactured 29/09/08, first registered 06/02/09
