Hi all,
Fairly new to MK5 GTI ownership and first time posting. Recently I've noticed a creaking/clicking when accelerating round a corner such as a junction. The cars a DSG which I can sometimes hear clicking through the gears and the noise sounds similar just happening rapidly.
Noise is coming from the front passenger side and is more noticeable when turning right. I've changed the outer CV joint but it's still happening, not sure if it could be coming from the transmission somehow as I've also got a slight squeal when accelerating that I'm yet to diagnose as well.
Any advice would be massively appreciated.
Cheers in advance!

I’ve recently had this same issue! Any help would be appreciated

Currently having a similar issue, more so reversing on full lock.
Any update on a fix? Seems steering racks appear to be a common issue.

So I had a chat with a VW specialist near me and from what he described it seems to be the differential is failing/damaged. The clicking in the corners and when going through the gears both point to that. Hopefully this isn't your issue as well!

I think I've sorted mine, I had an anti-lift kit fitted and re-used the old stretch bolts. I've tightened them up for now whilst I've ordered new bolts. Seems to have sorted it for now
