The “check oil level” message can on the other, so I topped it back up to the correct level and the message still appears every time I turn the key. Iv checked the micro switch at the bonnet latch, and that’s working fine. Iv also scanned for any codes just in case an oil sensor somewhere was playing up but there was no codes at all. Would anybody else have any idea of what I could do? Thanks in advanced.

What’s the level on the dipstick?
The 2.0 TFSI engine is very sensitive when it comes to oil so I’d be VERY cautious with it. Potentially even drain it all and start again.

The level is just about a little over 3/4. Iv never had this issue in the 5 years iv owned the car. I’m actually planning an oil change sometime in the next couple of months. It’s just annoying seeing the oil can flash up while driving

Probably the sensor in the sump, or damaged wiring harness. It clips into the subframe but I've seen a few cars with the clip missing and the harness is dangling in the air, ready to be caught on something.

Wouldn’t that throw out a code? I’ll have another good look at the weekend. Thanks for giving me something to look for

Possibly, have a look in the instrument cluster for fault codes. By the sounds of it, it's misreading, so might not throw a code.
