Title: Hard Race bushings and control arms?
Post by: Clarkj93 on April 27, 2022, 09:00:05 pm
Anyone here have experience with Hard Race items with the mk5? Or even in general? Never really see them advertised or sold by the main VAG tuners/distributors.

Some of their stuff is more expensive than using SuperPro bushes but comes with the benfit of being either a hardened rubber material or rose joints. Seemingly avoiding polybushes almost completely which is not the perfect solution for avoiding geo deflection as they can "set".

I've heard of the JDM guys using them but that's about it!

Don't think they have much of a presence in UK as they're a Taiwanese company.
I have their rear camber arms (hardened rubber) as for me they were only marginally more than stock.

Looks like good stuff  :happy2:

I like in the descriptions, "Fitment Guaranteed".  Well, you'd certainly hope so

You might be surprised to find there are aftermarket products which have poor fitment.

Oh totally.  There's a lot of utter garbage out there, most of which comes from AutoDoc.

That site just tickles me with no bigging up sales jargon, focussing just on "it fits" and "Secure payments"

The consoles look good, but it's not clear if "big rubber" is Chinglish for poly.  Looks a bit shiny to be big rubber

£770 for alloy front control arms - for that price I would prefer OEM ones.

That's cheap compared to the Verkline stuff!
