Hi there!
Gull from the South Coast here :)
This'll be my second Mk5 GTI. Probably paid over the odds for it for the condition, but these cars are just ace and the last one damned near saved my life!
Gonna be a bit of work getting her to the same condition as the one before but already have a few extras to play with (folding mirrors, you say?) :smiley:
And already some bits to fix (boo) but we'll get there.

Hey there Gull, all cars are over the odds at the moment so don’t beat urself up over it! I am new here too, but loads of friendly advice is available from so many knowledgeable folk....but yeah, picture please :happy2:

Cheers Clarky, I knew some things were going to need doing (cambelt, DSG service) but I hadn't expected her to dump coolant all over the garage after i'd driver her back from the dealer who was quite a way away. I'd already walked away from one that day and talked myself into getting this one ('only' 81k on the clock and on the surface in moderate condition plus some nice extras).
The guy who did the cam belt was proper puzzled as he couldn't find a coolant leak even under pressure. Turned out to be a too small seal and it only leaked as the system cooled down!
Now to figure out why the boot is wet...
