Title: Intermittent gurgling noise

I've been getting an intermittent gurgling noise when I'm idling. When I drive, I don't hear it. Seems like it's coming from the engine side.

i could be wrong but that sounds more like a faulty bearing on one of the pulleys or the oil pump chain rattle..get a mate to gently rev it while you listen and look around

Thank you for the support. I'll have a little look I took it to VW and as the problem is intermittent and happens when it is idling. They said it could be something rattling and doesn't sound too bad. But I'll give what you said a go and will give an update

Have you got any fault codes?
Could be something as simple as an empty AC compressor.
