Title: Drivers door problem
Post by: fazi123 on May 24, 2022, 11:06:34 pm
Hi all,

I've got a problem with my drivers door. Everytime I lock/unlock the car it behaves as expected. However when I open the door, I don't hear the fuel pump prime & nor does the interior light come on. Sometimes I unlock it, get inside & begin to fiddle with my phone. The car will lock itself - as though the door has never been opened.

This only happens with the drivers door.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Door lock actuator most likely, common problem.

The microswitch inside the lock module is faulty or the pcb has cracked solder joints. I have experienced both situations. I swapped the microswitch off of another broken module, which fixed it. On another occasion I found a cracked solder joint on the module just where the plug connector is soldered on, I just reheated the joint with a soldering iron and flux and it worked again.
