Post by: Woody1 on June 06, 2022, 05:53:05 pm
Hi I have a 2006 MK5 GTI with 79000 miles on the clock and just wondering about valuation for private sale. The car is in mint condition no dents chips ( has previous been resprayed excellent job and paintwork detailed lovely paint. Red colour. All wheels previous refurb and unmarked. Interior full leather immaculate. 6 CD changer and Bluetooth are only upgrades. Has one previous owner who used the car and the last owner only prepared it for sale to me. Car is excellent tunner with dsg gearbox very quick. Full service history. I have owned it for couple of years and had gearbox service done, dv, pcv and cam follower plus brake fluid change. Last Mot no advisories. I don't want to sell but might have to just looking for an honest opinion thanks.

i paid £4200 for mine same mileage give or take but sounds like yours is in better condition than mine was, guessing for the right person maybe £5000-£5500

79k doesn't mean a thing. Bet its still a rotter in the usual places.

Is it 3 or 5 door?

With that mileage and only 1 previous owner I wouldn’t let it go for less than £6k.

If it was a 3 door manual it would probably be worth more…

Staying sensible around £6000 I’d say.
