Title: Centre Caps
Post by: ttelracs on July 07, 2022, 09:45:25 pm
I've bought 65mm one twice and had to send them back since they didn't fit as the centre hole would break off one of the tabs.
I then bought 55mm and they were too small. What am I doing wrong?

I just looked up the part number and the one I got is 3B7 601 171. Maybe my 18 inch Monzas are reps and I need to find another option.

Take one of your caps off and note the dimensions to compare to what is on sale.

I have used aliexpress for wheel badges in the past, and there are usually lots of dimensions included too.

Remove one of your alloys. Check if there is a VW part number on rear. If not they are reps and you would need to measure the existing caps and try get closest to it.

The inside mounting diameter should be 56mm. The outside cap diameter should be 66mm.
If 3B7 601 171 (XRW or BXF) is falling out, then yes...git to measuring the wheel.
