Sie
when you unclip it to place it against the side window it then pulls out lengthways to extend
i wonder why my ride doesnt have them though, or maybe i need to be more forceful
almost broke it trying before though so just assumed  mine doesnt

I seem to remember they dropped the 'extending sunvisor' at some stage to save money....

Christ, things must have been tight!!
My 04 TDI has them, handy little feature

I remember sitting in the stealers waiting for our gti to get serviced,
the rocco had just come out, and had a mess in the showroom car,  i noticed that car never had them, which being massive doors and i like my seat all the way down and back, there was a big gap for the sun to still blind you from the side.
so gave rocco owners a heads up to get gti ones.
great feature if fitted
bill

			-
well i went back out there all frustrated....
gripped it gently but firmly by the base, tugged and tugged with a smooth twisting action.. but it simply wouldn't come
i r not satisfied
maybe its just a 2008 .:R32 thing?

			-
Pic doesnt work but i think i know what you mean and my R32 did it mate. I know the newer R32 had less on to save money (window tints etc) so maybe they dropped it?

Once you have experienced it VC - you wouldn't want a car with out it, it's going to add £££££ to a resale value

It's a good job you don't live on the south coast - you would really need these

			-
I think these were something a mate noticed when he was messing about with the visors. I tend to just flip up/down or wear sunglasses.

			-
Can't see them being that useful really... I'll see if the extension is of any practical use if we ever get some sunshine!

			-
Cant see the pic so no idea what goin off? :sad1:

			-
my o6 gti has them would never have found them though!!! :happy2:

....I live on the south coast and don't need such a feature. Who wants to fiddle with the sun visor while driving, except to simply flip up or down. Baseball cap plus shades does it all for me.
