Title: How to extend central locking distance

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew how to extend the range of central locking? I’ve replaced my Fob’s battery and it’s still pretty terrible (5-7 feet). I’m trying to locate where the remote antenna is located so I can extend the cable around and up one of my pillars in the hope it’ll fix my problem.

 I noticed on the Golf 4 it’s under the dash (clear coated wire). Does anyone have any experience with this? I know the pointing to the chin technic but even that fails. Help me!
