Title: Rear windscreen wiper not working
Post by: Wils042 on December 29, 2022, 02:47:40 pm
Hi,

My rear windscreen wiper has stopped working.

Recently it was not working and by tuning the engine on and off resolved it.  Yesterday it stopped working and when I had a look at it, the wiper arm can be easily moved across the rear windscreen, by hand. I can hear the motor working and slight wobble of the arm but it doesn't move.

It appears that the arm is not properly secured to the motor arm.

Welcome all comments and thoughts to get this working again.

Many thanks all

Probably a crack in the wiper arm where it attaches to the motor spindle.

Yes this happened to mine a couple of years ago, new wiper arm cured it.

Or the 13mm nut requires a nip up.

Ditto, although I think I'm going to have to buy a proper OEM arm, the ebay one I bought doesn't seem to have enough pressure to push the centre of the wiper against the screen properly. Oh well.

Yes I did exactly the same.  Bought a febi one and then had to buy a genuine one because of the same issue as you!
