Brakes worn? (the orange circle with the broken dashed lines on outside of it, if you get what I mean!) Indicator flashed up on panel yesterday.
I'm guessing that all the water that's on the roads lately it's got into one of the wear sensors as they're new pads f&r.
Try separating them abs and spray contact cleaner in there?
Cheers

Silly question but was the sensor changed?
By all means try contact cleaner but you can code out using VCDS if needed.

Yes - its most likely moisture completing the circuit in the wear indicator, mine does it from time to time too

I assume the brake pads aren't actually worn down? I can't remember which pad has the sensor (inboard or outboard) but the inboard pads tend to wear down quicker with floating calipers, which you can't see through the wheel as easily as the outboard one.
Reminds me of a time when a mate got all panicky about his car not firing up and spent ages on the diagnostics. He'd run out of fuel  Typical car enthusiasts overlooking the obvious and going straight to worst case scenarios  Not saying you're as dumb as him, but anyway, either code out the sensor, or bridge two wear sensor wires together :happy2:
