Looking for people with first hand, long term experience with the F23T Hybrid K04 Ebay Turbo. Looks like in the US a few people started using the F23T, but can't find a huge amount in the UK.
In the next couple of months I'm getting the following mods added to the car followed by a custom tune:
- Forge Intercooler
- APR HPFP
- REVO Induction kit
- 3" 200 cell sports cat downpipe
There's an F23T going pretty cheap; I'm wondering whether it's worth adding it into the mix before getting the tune done.
Car is a well maintained 2005 AXX on 88k
Balance shaft delete done, and oil pick up and sump clean done. Compression is good across all cylinders
Any experience/advice welcome

I’ve just noticed you don’t have injectors on your list. I suspect the standard ones will run out of puff around 320bhp.
Actually 330 might be possible.

I’d be happy at 320bhp to be honest.

I’m after anyone who’s specifically had the Frankenturbo F23T installed; if they’ve had any reliability issues or problems mapping it. Last thing I want to do is take a healthy GTi and smash the engine up with a turbo disintegrating into it.
